Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using ScopeSnap ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
ScopeSnap is operated by ScopeSnap Pty Ltd (ACN 698 607 868, ABN 84 698 607 868), based in South Australia ("we", "us", "our").
Description of service
ScopeSnap is a mobile-first web application that helps builders, renovators and property professionals capture site inspections and generate scope reports. The Service includes photo capture, voice transcription, AI-powered scope generation and PDF report export.
ScopeSnap is a live service. Features may change, and we make no guarantee of uninterrupted availability.
Address suggestions
Address suggestions use Google Maps. Use of this feature is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy, which are incorporated for this feature. Use suggestions to complete an address you already know for the particular job, and check it before saving. You can enter the address manually instead.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
You may not share your account with others. Team access is managed through the team features within your plan.
Acceptable use
You agree to use ScopeSnap only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Upload content you do not have permission to share
- Use the Service to generate misleading or fraudulent documents
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent security measures
- Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Capture photos or recordings of people without their consent
Your content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to ScopeSnap — including photos, voice notes, job details and reports. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process and store your content for the purpose of providing the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture and upload any content, including photos taken at client properties.
AI-generated content
ScopeSnap uses AI to assist with voice transcription, photo analysis and scope generation. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point only — it is not a substitute for professional judgment. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated scope reports before sharing them with clients or using them for any commercial purpose.
We make no warranty that AI outputs are accurate, complete, compliant with any code or standard, or suitable for any particular purpose. Reliance on AI-generated scope content without independent review is at your own risk.
Intellectual property
The ScopeSnap name, logo, interface and underlying technology are our intellectual property. You may not use our branding, copy or technology without written permission.
Payment and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in Australian dollars (AUD). All advertised prices exclude GST; GST is added at checkout where applicable. You select your plan and billing interval during signup. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. You will receive a receipt by email after each successful payment.
Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) and your payment method will be charged at the then-current rate, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time by emailing hello@scopesnap.com.au — we process cancellation requests promptly. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
New accounts start with a 14-day Solo trial with one user and up to 2 jobs. Trial upload and AI usage limits apply. No credit card is required to begin the trial, and you will not be charged unless you choose a paid subscription after the trial ends.
Other than as required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), no refunds are provided for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice to active subscribers; price changes take effect from your next billing period after the notice.
Company storage
Solo includes 10 GB, Professional 50 GB and Business 200 GB of storage shared by the company. Storage counts photos and other uploaded files; 1 GB means 1,000,000,000 bytes. Free-trial upload limits are separate.
While your paid subscription continues, photos do not expire after a fixed number of months. We show warnings as storage approaches its allowance. At or above the allowance, new uploads are blocked; existing files are not automatically deleted. Reducing your plan or ending an add-on can leave you above the allowance. You can remove files you no longer need to resume uploads.
An optional extra 100 GB costs A$10 per month excluding GST. It is a separate automatically renewing monthly subscription, including when your main plan is billed annually. Its renewal date can differ from your main plan. Review the amount and applicable GST at checkout before subscribing. Administrators can cancel it using “Cancel extra storage” on the website billing page. The add-on requires a paid main subscription and is cancelled when the main subscription ends. Cancellation and refund rights above also apply.
Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate. For paid subscriptions ending after this policy update takes effect, we retain company job records, photos and uploaded files for 30 days after paid access actually ends. Cancelling renewal does not start this period while paid access continues. Reactivate before the deadline to keep the data, or email hello@scopesnap.com.au promptly during the period to request an export; paid app features are not available during the grace period. We email the company administrator when the period starts and send a reminder before scheduled deletion. Cleanup occurs after the deadline and may take longer if a notice, payment check or cleanup attempt is delayed. Removing an extra-storage add-on alone does not start this period. Your login account, membership and legally retained billing records are separate; request account deletion if you also want your account removed. Account-deletion requests follow the process described below.
App store purchases
If you download or access ScopeSnap through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the terms of those stores also apply to your download, and any purchases made through those stores are billed and managed by Apple or Google under their terms, including their cancellation and refund processes. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no obligation to provide support for the Service.
Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the ACL or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where the law permits us to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to the resupply of the services or the payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.
Limitation of liability
Subject to the Australian Consumer Law section above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, ScopeSnap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data or business opportunities.
Subject to the same, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the three months prior to the claim.
Disclaimer of warranties
Subject to the Australian Consumer Law section above, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free from defects. You should maintain your own copies of critical project records.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms, or if we determine your use poses a risk to other users or the Service. You may request deletion of your account through the app or by email. See our account-deletion page for instructions, the data affected and retention exceptions.
Account-deletion requests normally schedule removal after 30 days unless you request immediate deletion. Workspace ownership, retained records, provider-held copies and backups are subject to the exceptions explained in our account-deletion page and Privacy Policy.
Privacy
Our collection and handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active users of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
