Delete your ScopeSnap account

Request deletion by email

You can request deletion of your account and associated data without signing in or reinstalling ScopeSnap.

Email a deletion request

Or email hello@scopesnap.com.au with the subject ScopeSnap account deletion request.

The button opens an email draft. Send it from your email app to submit your request.

What to include

  • Your ScopeSnap account email address, name and company name.
  • Whether you are an administrator or a team member, and whether you want your own account or the whole company workspace deleted. If unsure, ask us to explain the scope first.
  • Whether you want the standard 30-day waiting period or immediate deletion after verification.

Where possible, email us from your registered account address. If you no longer have access to it, tell us your registered address so we can help verify your identity. We need to verify account ownership and authority to delete company data before processing a request. Never send your password or payment card details.

Email requests require a support review; sending the email does not immediately delete or lock your account. We will confirm the scope and timing with you before processing it.

Delete from the app

  1. Open Profile Settings in ScopeSnap.
  2. Select Delete account and read the explanation of what will be removed.
  3. Choose immediate deletion if you want to skip the standard 30-day period.
  4. Type DELETE and confirm.

What gets deleted?

Administrators: the app's deletion action deletes the entire company workspace, including all team members' accounts and profiles, jobs, stored photos and files, job history, and company details. If you only want to leave a company that will continue operating, contact us before using this action.

Other team members: deletion removes your own account and profile. The company's jobs, uploaded content and other members remain with the company. Your name and account identifier in job-change attribution are replaced with “Deleted user”. Contact us if you also want personal information removed from shared company content.

Export any reports or files you need before confirming deletion. Permanent deletion cannot be undone.

When does deletion happen?

Standard deletion: once the request is processed, affected accounts are locked immediately. Their data is scheduled for permanent deletion after 30 days, through the daily deletion task.

Immediate deletion: this skips the 30-day waiting period and removes the affected accounts and data when processing succeeds. For requests made by email, identity and authority checks happen first.

If you need an update on an email request or a deletion has failed, contact hello@scopesnap.com.au.

Subscriptions and saved copies

When an administrator's company-deletion request is processed, the company's active Stripe subscription is cancelled immediately, including when the 30-day waiting period is selected. Deleting an individual team member does not cancel the company's subscription.

Uninstalling the app does not delete your account or cancel a subscription. Account deletion does not erase reports, photos or other copies you have downloaded to your devices or shared with other people.

Information that may remain

  • Free-trial prevention: a hashed version of the trial account's email address and the date it claimed a trial are retained to prevent repeat free trials. This record currently has no automatic expiry and is not removed by account deletion.
  • Email preferences: a hashed email identifier, unsubscribe token and preference timestamps are retained to honour promotional-email opt-outs. These records have no automatic expiry and survive account deletion so a new account does not silently restart promotional emails.
  • Billing records: company-linked billing event payloads are redacted and the company link is removed. Remaining billing event records currently have no automatic expiry. Payment and accounting records may also be retained where required by law; payment-provider records follow the provider's own retention requirements.
  • Company content: when only a team member's account is deleted, shared jobs and content remain for the company as explained above.

Copies held in service-provider backups or systems may follow separate retention schedules. Contact us for information about retained records or to request deletion of specific personal information.
